Our Partners

Virginia Department of Social Services – We work with VDSS alongside our founder and Virginia’s Adoption Champion Debbie Johnston. Although we also work with local departments, we assist VDSS with statewide initiatives.

Change Who Waits – We work with Change Who Waits on photo shoot events to get high quality photos of kids in foster care who are available for Foster-to-Adopt. Check out their website to see the photos and videos of kids in our state who need a forever family!

Great Expectations – Our founder Debbie Johnston has been a huge proponent of this program since being named Virginia’s Adoption Champion. We strongly support the work they do to help foster youth make their way through community college.

Case for Hope – We work alongside Case for Hope to hold toiletry drives for youth in foster care. We also assist Case for Hope in getting the bags and toiletries they have collected to youth who need them.

Caring Clothes Closet – We help Caring Clothes Closet with their mission of collecting clothing for youth in foster care.

One Church One Child – We work with Once Church Once Child on photo shoot events to get high quality photos of kids in foster care who are available for Foster-to-Adopt.

Einstein Bagel Bros: Einstein Bagel Bros has been a yearly participant in our Foster2Adopt Educational Campaigns in order to spread the necessary awareness needed to recruit prospective foster and adoptive families for Virginia’s kiddos! Heather continues to help feed the children at several of our events in donating the tastiest bagels for all to enjoy! She has passed out bagel coupons for our youth in foster care in order to promote normalcy to our kiddos. They, too, get to enjoy Einstein Bagel Bros thanks to Heather! Einstein Bagel Bros is your neighborhood bagel shop. They are proud to provide their guests with freshly baked bagels, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, coffee, catering, and so much more. Stop on in! They have a fresh bagel and cup of coffee ready for you!

Pasture: Michele Jones, co-owner, of Pasture has been a wonderful advocate for Virginia’s youth! Michele Jones continues several drives for youth in foster care, such as: a yearly Holiday Gift Drive, toiletry drives, suit case drives, etc. Each year, Michele closes down her restaurant and opens the doors for Virginia’s kids in care as well as alumni so that together, all can have a Thanksgiving Dinner! Michele continues to help make all of what Connecting Hearts does – from the promotion of normalcy to permanency possible by donating to several events and acting as a community advocate and resource for Virginia’s kids! Pasture is a restaurant that takes pride in southern food that provides comfort as well as the act of sharing, fresh ingredients and conversation over a tasty dinner that creates conversation! For questions or reservations, contact: pasturerva@gmail.com.

Comfort: Michele Jones is also the co-owner of Comfort with a goal to have a down home style of comfort and the desire to serve simply deliciously cooked food! From its opening in September of 2003, Comfort has quickly been recognized as Richmond’s most popular eating venue and a great source of simple and soothing dishes that the community has come to rely on as “comfort” foods. For questions or reservations, use the Open Table App or info@comfortrestaurant.com.

Abundant Life Church of Christ: Abundant Life Church of Christ’s Pastor Gary Foreman has thus far been so compassionate about our cause and has even shown leadership by choosing to begin the foster2adopt process as well! ALCC’s mission is to win the unchurched, incorporating them into a committed body of spirit-filled Christians led by qualified ministers who equip people to fulfill their God-given purpose; resulting in growth, maturity, and influence in the community, state, nation, and world. ALCC will be participating in our “One Faith One Child” Campaign in support of CH’s mission!
